Wrestling Schedule Released

2015-16 SCHEDULE

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State wrestling head coach Greg Randall announced the team’s schedule for the 2015-16 season, Thursday.

The slate includes four home duals, scheduled for the following dates:

Jan. 15, 2016 (Friday) – North Dakota State
Jan. 17, 2016 (Sunday) – Wyoming
Jan. 29, 2016 (Friday) – Northern Colorado
Feb. 7, 2017 (Sunday) – South Dakota State

The Broncos will open their campaign at the Cowboy Open, set for Nov. 7, in Laramie, Wyo. The event is one of five regular-season tournaments in which the Broncos will compete, a list that also includes the Cyclone Open (Nov. 15), the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 4-5), the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 20) and the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2).

The Broncos will kick off their dual schedule in Ames, Iowa, squaring off against Midland and Iowa State back-to-back, Nov. 12, before traveling to Tempe, Ariz., to take on Pac-12 foe Arizona State (Nov. 22), and to Orem, Utah, to take on Utah Valley, Nov. 28.

Boise State will close its regular season with four-straight conference road duals, taking on Stanford (Feb. 11), CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 12) and Cal Poly (Feb. 14) in a three-day stretch, and then closing with Oregon State in this year’s only edition of the Border War. The Broncos and Beavers are slated to hit the mat at noon (MT), Feb. 21 (Sunday), and the contest will be broadcast by the Pac-12 Networks.

The Pac-12 Championships are set for Feb. 27, in Tempe, Ariz., and the NCAA Championships will take place March 17-19, at Madison Square Garden in New York.
