2014-15 Wrestling Schedule Announced

NOTE: The dual against North Dakota State has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 18, and the 2015 Pac-12 Championships will take place Sunday, March 1. The initial schedule release had the league championships scheduled for Feb. 28.

BOISE, Idaho - Boise State wrestling head coach Greg Randall announced the 2014-15 wrestling schedule Wednesday, a slate that includes home duals with Iowa State and five Pac-12 opponents.

The Broncos will open their 2014-15 home schedule with a tri-dual featuring Utah Valley and Iowa State, which finished 12th at last season's NCAA Championships. The Cyclones and Wolverines will wrestle at 3 p.m. at Bronco Gym Nov. 14 (Friday), followed by Boise State-Utah Valley at 4:30 p.m. and Boise State-Iowa State at 6 p.m.

The first Pac-12 dual of the season will also take place at Bronco Gym, as the Broncos will square off against Oregon State in the season's first edition of the Border War, Dec. 12 (Friday). The Broncos and Beavers hit the mat Dec. 12 at 7 p.m., the first of five home league matches on the season.

Also coming to town will be Arizona State (Friday, Jan. 23; 7 p.m.), Stanford (Sunday, Feb. 1; 1 p.m.), CSU Bakersfield (Friday, Feb. 6; 7 p.m.) and Cal Poly (Friday, Feb. 13; 7 p.m.).

Boise State will open the season at the Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyo., Nov. 8 (Saturday). The tournament is slated to begin at 9 a.m. The Broncos will also close their regular season with a dual against the Cowboys, scheduled for Feb. 15 (Sunday) at 2 p.m. in Rock Spring, Wyo.

Boise State will compete in three regular-season tournaments, including the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 5-6), the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 21) and the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2) in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The Broncos will also make a winter trip to the Dakotas, first squaring off against South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D., Jan. 16 (Friday; 6 p.m.), and then against North Dakota State in Fargo, N.D., Jan. 18 (Sunday; 1 p.m.).

The second edition of the 2014-15 Border War with Oregon State will take place in Corvallis, Ore., Feb. 8 (Sunday). A time for the dual will be announced later.

The Pac-12 Championships will also be held in Corvallis, Ore., March 1 (Sunday), and the NCAA Championships are scheduled for March 19-21 in St. Louis.
