MANAGUA, Nicaragua - Boise State wrestler Toby Erickson made the most of his summer away from the Bronco wrestling room, as Erickson found a great deal of success at the 2010 FILA Pan American Junior Wrestling Championships in Managua, Nicaragua, July 9-11.

Erickson, a redshirt freshman from East Helena, Mont. (Helena HS), captured both the Greco-Roman and freestyle titles at 120 kg (264.5 pounds) for the United States. His success helped lead the U.S. to a team title in Greco-Roman and a runner-up finish in the freestyle competition.

Following all of his success, Erickson was named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for July 6-12. TheMat.com selects an athlete of the week based on their wrestling performance for that given week. Wrestlers of all levels, from youth to senior competition, are considered for the award.
