BOISE, Idaho The Pacific-10 Conference announced its 2008-09 All-Academic Wrestling Teams, Monday, and Boise State’s Adam Hall and Alan Bartelli have been honored on the first and second team, respectively. In order to be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or a significant contributor to their team.
Hall, a sophomore from Bonners Ferry, Idaho (Bonners Ferry HS), was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team by maintaining a 3.38 GPA. He is a Health Science major. Hall wrestled at 157-pounds for Boise State this season. He earned a berth to the NCAA Championships after placing second at the Pac-10 tournament. Hall finished the season with a 35-6 overall record (18-1 in duals).
Bartelli, a sophomore from Wasilla, Alaska (Wasilla HS), was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team with a 3.28 GPA. He is majoring in Biology at Boise State. On the mat, Bartelli split significant time at 125-pounds for the Broncos. He started 10 duals at 125-pounds this season and another two at 133-pounds. Bartelli finished the season with a 16-14 overall record (6-6 in duals).
