SAN FRANCISCO - The Boise State wrestling team placed three individuals on the 2015 Pac-12 Wrestling All-Academic Teams, the league office announced Friday.

Redshirt freshman Carson Kuhn (125 pounds) was named second-team Pac-12 All-Academic, while redshirt freshman Gaylen Edmo (285) and senior Holden Packard (165/174/184) were each named Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.

To be eligible for the Pac-12 All-Academic Teams, individuals must have competed in at least half of the team's competitions while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average above 3.0. Individuals must also be starters or significant contributors, and must have completed at least one year of enrollment at his institution.

For Packard, the accolade is the second of his career. He was named first-team Pac-12 All-Academic last season.

Kuhn went 6-5 in his debut season with the Broncos, including one pin and two victories over nationally-ranked opponents. He wrestled only in duals before representing the Broncos at the Pac-12 Championships, but his tournament run was cut short due to injury.

Edmo, who also made his debut for the Broncos this season, represented Boise State at the Pac-12 Championships. He went 3-16 on the season, including a 1-6 mark in duals.

In his final campaign for the Broncos, Packard, a construction management major, wrestled at three different weight classes. He combined for a 12-11 overall record, including two pins, two major decisions and a technical fall. After spending a majority of the season at 165, injuries forced him to move up two weight classes. He then concluded the season at 174 pounds, finishing third at the Pac-12 Championships, upsetting each of the top two seeds in his weight class in the process.
