SHERFEY AND LEE POST VICTORIES IN CONSOLATION BRACKET

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- After losing both of their first round matches, Boise State University's Tyler Sherfey and Nate Lee won their first match in the consolation bracket on Thursday (March 15) night during the first day of competition at the 2007 NCAA National Wrestling Championships.

Competing at 157 pounds, Sherfey handed Luke Salazer of Northern Colorado an 8-6 defeat and will now face Michael Chandler of the University of Missouri in the second round of the consolations later tonight.

Lee posted a 12-3 major decision over John Heleniak of Millersville in his consolation match at 174 pounds and advances to the second round to face Lloyd Rogers of Tennessee-Chattanooga Thursday night.
