THIS WEEK'S BREAKDOWN: The Boise State wrestling team will close its 2013-14 regular season at Taco Bell Arena Saturday (March 8), taking on Oregon State at 6 p.m.

The dual was initially scheduled for Feb. 7, but was cancelled due to travel restrictions for the Beavers caused by weather.

Boise State is 3-7 in dual competition this season, including a record of 2-3 against Pac-12 opponents. The Beavers are 11-7 overall and 3-2 in league duals.

The dual will be part of Boise State's second Beauty and the Beast event of the season, an event held simultaneously with the Boise State gymnastics team. The gymnasts will compete against Seattle Pacific.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: Boise State was the first school in the country to host such an event, though it has been replicated nationwide.

This is the 12th year the Broncos have held Beauty and the Beast, and Saturday will mark the 14th edition of the event. Boise State also held two Beauty and the Beast competitions during 2012-13.

The wrestlers boast a record of 12-2 all-time at Beauty and the Beast, and the gymnasts are 13-1.

THE BORDER WAR: The Broncos will be looking to retain possession of The Border Axe, a wooden trophy created by a former Boise State wrestler in 2009. The Border Axe has changed hands just twice since its inception.

Earlier this season, the Broncos upset then-No. 6 Oregon State at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore., knocking off the Beavers 19-18, Nov. 24. After falling behind 15-3, the Broncos stormed back, winning four of the last five matches to knock off the defending Pac-12 champions in their first league dual of the season.

Oregon State won the 2014 Pac-12 Championships this past Sunday (March 2), while Boise State finished third.

TICKETS: General admission tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for juniors (2-18) and seniors (62+). As always, students gain free entrance with a valid Boise State Student Identification Card.

Tickets can be purchased at Taco Bell Arena the day of the match.
