2016 Pac-12 Championships Brackets Get Acrobat Reader

BOISE, Idaho -- The Boise State wrestling team will send 10 individuals to the 2016 Pac-12 Championships, hosted by Arizona State at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz. The 54th edition of the league tournament is scheduled to begin Saturday (Feb. 27) at 10:30 a.m. (MT).

Prior to finishing third and fourth at the conference championships in 2014 and 2015, respectively, Boise State finished first or second six-consecutive years, winning the team title in 2008, 2009 and 2011. In all, Boise State has won six Pac-12 championships as a team, and 45 individual conference titles as a member of the league.

Sophomore Geordan Martinez captured the 2015 Pac-12 Championship at 141 pounds en route to Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors this past season, and will be attempting to repeat, this year at 149.

Sophomore Geordan Martinez (149) checked in at No. 15 in Thursday's release of the Division I Coaches' Rankings. He also checked in at No. 8 in this week's rankings from The Open Mat, No. 15 in both InterMat and Amateur Wrestling News, and No. 19 in Flowrestling.
