Wrestling to Host Utah Valley for Senior Night
BOISE, Idaho - The No. 21 Boise State wrestling team will take part in its final regular season dual, Wednesday at 7 p.m., when the Broncos host Utah Valley for senior night at Taco Bell Arena. Before the match, seniors Jason Chamberlain, Michael Cuthbertson, George Ivanov, Brian Owen and Josh Strait will be recognized.

PROMOTIONS: All Bronco Athletic Association members, along with three guests, will receive free admission to Wednesday's dual.

IN THE RANKINGS: The Broncos feature five wrestlers ranked in the Amateur Wrestling News Division I College Rankings. Those five are No. 2 Jason Chamberlain (149), No. 9 Jake Swartz (184) No. 14 J.T. Felix (285), No. 16 Brian Owen (133) and No. 17 George Ivanov (157). Boise State jumped two spots in the team rankings this week, sitting at No. 21.

IN THE LINEUP: Boise State will be represented by Rami Haddadin (125), Landon Hartley (133) or Manny Ybarra, Travis Himmelman (141), Jason Chamberlain (149), George Ivanov (157), Holden Packard (165), Scott Bacon (174), Jake Swartz (184), Cody Dixon (197) and J.T. Felix (285).

SCOUTING UTAH VALLEY: The Wolverines are 5-3 this season with a 2-2 record in the Western Wrestling Conference. Utah Valley is coming off a 18-15 defeat against North Dakota State last weekend in Fargo. Josh Wilson leads the team in wins with a 19-7 record at 149 pounds. Avery Garner (141) and Monte Schmalhaus (174) each have 18 wins this season.

LEADING THE WAY: Redshirt junior Jake Swartz leads the team in wins this season with a 26-3 record. The Auburn, Wash., native also has the most dual-match wins (13) and major decisions (10).

REACHING 100: A win for Jason Chamberlain on Wednesday will mark the 100th of his Boise State career.

STREAKING: Both Jason Chamberlain and Jake Swartz enter the weekend with substantial win streaks intact. Chamberlain has won 20-straight bouts with his last loss on Nov. 14 against Scott Sakaguchi. Swartz has won 15 in-a-row with his last defeat on Dec. 1 against Ryan Loder.

RUNNING THROUGH THE PAC: Boise State has won its last seven dual matches with the last four wins coming against Pac-12 opponents. With the win over Cal Poly, Sunday, the Broncos have defeated every Pac-12 team this season. Boise State is 5-1 in conference, splitting the season series with Oregon State.

SCORING MARGINS: Not only do Jake Swartz and Jason Chamberlain have the top two winning percentages on the team, they have been winning in impressive fashion. Over the course of the season, each has outscored their opponents by a 156 and 154 points, respectively. Chamberlain has a 230-76 discrepancy in 21 bouts not decided by a fall while Swartz' score line is 229-73 through 25 bouts.
