Feb. 10, 2016

BOISE, Idaho – Following its four-match homestand, the Boise State wrestling team will be on the road for the remainder of the season, beginning this week with a three-dual Pac-12 swing through California.

The Broncos are slated to take on Stanford Thursday (Feb. 11) at 7:30 p.m. MT at Burnham Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., followed by an 8 p.m. match at CSU Bakersfield at the Icardo Center in Bakersfield, Calif., Friday (Feb. 12). Boise State will close the week with a dual against Cal Poly Sunday (Feb. 14), scheduled for 2 p.m. outdoors at the University Union Plaza.

The Broncos (3-5, 1-0 Pac-12) have lost three-straight, but defeated Arizona State 22-21 earlier this season in the team’s only other conference match of the 2015-16 season.

Stanford (10-3, 2-2 Pac-12) is ranked tied for 18th nationally according to InterMat, and has won eight of its last nine duals. The only loss came at the hands of Oregon State (21-13), Feb. 4. The Cardinal boasts ranked wrestlers at four weight classes – 125, 141, 165 and 285.

There will be no live results or live video for Thursday’s dual at Stanford.

CSU Bakersfield (10-3, 3-0 Pac-12) is tied for 24th nationally, having won seven of its last eight matches. The Roadrunners are ranked at 174 and 197 pounds.

There will be no live video stream Friday, but live results will be available at TrackWrestling.

Cal Poly (2-8, 0-3) hosts Arizona State Saturday before squaring off against the Broncos. The Mustangs enter the week having won just once in their last seven times out. Live results will be available at TrackWrestling, and a live video stream will be available at GoPoly.com.
