Final Home Dual, Senior Day on Tap
Feb. 5, 2016

BOISE, Idaho -- The Boise State wrestling team will close out its home schedule for the 2015-16 season Sunday (Feb. 7), hosting Senior Day against South Dakota State at noon in Bronco Gym. The Broncos will honor three seniors against the Jackrabbits - Chris Castillo, Travis Himmelman and Taylor West.

Boise State (3-4, 1-0 Pac-12) is looking to go an even 2-2 on its homestand, having dropped its last two duals to Wyoming (33-6) and Northern Colorado (22-15), respectively. The Broncos' last victory came against North Dakota State (19-18), Jan. 15.

South Dakota State (10-5, 3-1 Big 12) will wrestle Utah Valley Friday evening before making the trip to Boise. Entering this week the Jackrabbits have a nine-match win streak, the team's longest as a Division I wrestling program.

A free live stream of the dual will be available at, and live results will be available at TrackWrestling.

Tickets to Sunday's dual are normally $6 for adults and $4 for juniors (2-18) and seniors (62+), but in honor of Super Bowl 50, will be free to anyone wearing apparel representing their favorite National Football League team.

Parking is free in the West Stadium Lot.

Sophomore Geordan Martinez is the only Bronco to check into the rankings this week. He ranks No. 12 in Amateur Wrestling News, No 17 in both InterMat and Flowrestling, and No. 18 in The Open Mat.

After four-straight home duals, Boise State will be on the road the rest of the season, starting with a three-stop Pac-12 swing through California next week. The Broncos will be at Stanford Thursday (Feb. 11; 7:30 p.m. MT), at CSU Bakersfield Friday (Feb. 12; 8 p.m. MT) and at Cal Poly Sunday (Feb. 14; 2 p.m. MT).
