Broncos to Host No. 17 Stanford
Jan. 27, 2017

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State wrestling team will host their second straight conference opponent, No. 17 ranked Stanford, Saturday at Bronco Gym.

The dual is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. (MT).

The Broncos (1-5, 0-1 Pac-12) are seeking their first Pac-12 win since they defeated Arizona State on Nov. 22, 2015.

Stanford and Boise State have met on the mat 10 times since the 2006-07 season. In that span, the Broncos have gone 6-4, but have lost the past three meetings. The average margin of defeat over that three dual span is five points.

The Cardinal (7-2, 3-0 Pac-12) have ranked six ranked wrestlers, and have not lost since losing to Penn (19-17) on Jan. 15.

Boise State redshirt freshman Fred Green is still ranked No. 32 nationally in the lone NCAA coaches’ ranking of this season. Redshirt sophomore Kadyn Del Toro is currently the top ranked 184 pounder in the Pac-12.

Live scoring will be available from Trackwrestling.com and a live stream will be provided by Broncosports.com.
