Bronco Wrestlers to Face Big Test at National Duals


BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State wrestling team will face its' biggest test of the season this weekend (Jan. 9-10), as the Broncos head to Cedar Falls, Iowa to compete against some of  the nation's top teams in the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals.

            The National Duals will be hosted on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa, starting Saturday morning and concluding Sunday night. This year's tournament boasts a 16 team field that includes 12 teams currently ranked in the top-20 of the NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll. Eight teams rank in the top-10.

            The 2010 National Duals field includes: No. 22 Arizona State, Bloomsburg, No. 9 Boise State, Buffalo, No. 5 Central Michigan, No. 7 Cornell, No. 1 Iowa, No. 2 Iowa State, No. 17 Missouri, No. 15 Nebraska, Northwestern, No. 3 Ohio State, UNI, No. 8 Maryland, No. 6 Minnesota and No. 18 Wisconsin.

            Boise State will open competition against Buffalo at 9 a.m. (CST) on Saturday. Should the Broncos advance, they could possibly meet the No. 1 Iowa Hawkeyes in the quarterfinal round.
