Broncos Drop Wrestling Dual to Wyoming

Rock Springs, Wyo. – Boise State was able to only post one victory in the wrestling team’s final regular season dual in a 37-3 loss to the University of Wyoming today.

Geordan Martinez, No. 7 in this week’s national InterMat rankings, handed Cole Mendenhall a 10-3 defeat to improve his overall record to 25-5 and end the regular season with a perfect 10-0 mark in dual matches.

Competing on the campus of Western Wyoming Community College, the Broncos lost several close matches with five losses by four or less points.

20th ranked Wyoming moves to 9-4 in dual matches this season.

Boise State will now take a two-week break from competition to prepare for the Pac-12 Championships, March 1 (Sunday) at Oregon State University.
