Pac-12 Tournament Primer

The 54th edition of the league tournament is scheduled to begin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. (MT).

RS SENIOR (2016-17):
Finished the season with a 1-11 record while battling injuries after making the jump to the 141 pound weight class . . . Was Boise State's starter in nine duals at 141 pounds, going winless.
RS JUNIOR (2015-16): Went 12-11 on the season as the Broncos’ primary starter at 125 pounds, falling one win shy of reaching the NCAA Championships…finished third at the Pac-12 Championships, but had an opportunity to grab one of the league’s two allocations at 125 with a true second-place match…dropped the bout to seventh-ranked Ronnie Bresser of Oregon State (7-6)…was one of eight losses on the season to ranked opponents…started 11 of the team’s 12 duals at 125, going 5-6…finished runner-up at the Cowboy Open (Nov. 7), going 2-1 with a pin…also wrestled in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 4), going 3-2…recorded two major decisions and a fall on the season.
JUNIOR (2014-15):
Redshirt season...went 1-1 before pulling out of the Cowboy Open (Nov. 8) with an injury that forced him to miss the rest of the season...pinned his opening-round opponent in 3:22, then dropped a 7-4 decision.
SOPHOMORE (2013-14): Went 14-13 on the season, including four pins and two major decisions...primary starter at 125 pounds wrestled in each of the team's 11 duals, going 4-7...went 0-6 against top-25 opponents...finished second at the Pac-12 Championships at 125 (March 2), falling to 12th-ranked Evan Silver of Stanford in the title match (8-6)...finished third at 125 at the Cowboy Open (Nov. 2)...dropped his opening match to sixth-ranked Tyler Cox of Wyoming, then won four straight...clinched the Broncos' dual against Oregon State (Nov. 24), edging Pat Rollins 10-9 in the final match to give Boise State a 19-18 upset of the sixth-ranked Beavers...named second-team Pac-12 All-Academic.
FRESHMAN (2012-13): Primary starter for the Broncos at 125 pounds...went 6-16 overall and 5-9 in dual competitions...picked up bonus points with pins against Pat Rollins (Oregon State) and Steve Mitcheff (Kent State).

Wrestled at Brighton High school under Dave Chavis and Chad Flook...won the 5A Utah State Championship as a junior in 2011 and a senior in 2012...finished second in 2010...tallied a 131-25 career record...runner-up at the 2011 Reno Tournament of Champions.
