Patton Adds Two for Spring Season

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State men's tennis team will add Toby Mitchell and Thomas Tenreiro to its 2013 spring roster, Head Coach Greg Patton announced Wednesday.

Mitchell hails from Somerset, England where he has been a part of the International High Performance Academy. He has made four International Tennis Federation Finals appearances which included a Grade 2 and Grade 5 Doubles Championships along with a second-place finish in the Grade 4 Singles Championship. Mitchell achieved a career-high ranking 190th in the world within four months of playing on the ITF Circuit. He was also the official hitter for Boise State Wimbledon doubles champion Wesley Moodie in 2010, and for No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic in 2011.

Tebreiro hails from Miami, Fla., and is currently sits just outside the top 200 of the ITF Rankings with a 22-14 record this season. Tenreiro has been traveling to international tournaments including the Copa Guga Kuerten in Brazil, the ITF World Ranking Event in Canada and the Copa Merengue in the Dominican Republic, each of which he advanced to the quarterfinals or further. Tenreiro has shown that he is not only a singles threat as he has made the semifinals or better in each of these events in doubles.

"Our Christmas will be celebrated a few weeks later this year when both Thomas and Toby arrive in January to enter Boise State. They undoubtedly will enhance our program with their success at the highest level of international play."
