Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate

  • What’s Happening:  The fall season is wrapping up this weekend with the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate at Kirkland, Wash., which is being hosted by the Washington Huskies. Boise State has sent a four-man contingent, Brian Foley, Toby Mitchell, Abe Hewko and Lewis Roskilly, to the event.
  • Location: The tournament is being held at the Central Park Tennis Center in Kirkland, Wash.
  • Dates: The tournament runs Friday through Sunday. The action begins at approximately 9:45 a.m. (Mountain) on Friday and Saturday, as well as 11 a.m. on Sunday.
  • The Field: Players from eight programs will be competing in the event, other schools joining the Broncos include: host Washington, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Oregon, Portland, Portland State and Seattle.
  • Format: The tournament will be made up of two flight of doubles and six flights of singles along with consolation play.
  • Live Scoring: Live scoring is not available for this event.

    

REPRESENTING THE BRONCOS

  • Boise State is being represented by four members of the squad: Brian Foley, Toby Mitchell, Abe Hewko and Lewis Roskilly.
  • Brian Foley: The junior is competing in his fourth competition of the fall and enters the event at 3-7 singles record and 5-2 doubles mark this fall. The Henderson, Nev., native’s last event was the Larry Easley Memorial last weekend in Las Vegas. 
  • Toby Mitchell: The junior from Somerset, England, is competing in his first competition since the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Oct. 15-19 in Las Vegas. He enters the PNW Intercollegiate at 4-2 in singles and 3-2 in doubles.
  • Abe Hewko: The sophomore from Palm Desert, Calif., is fresh off a double championship run last weekend at the Larry Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas where he went 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles paired with Lewis Roskilly. Hewko enters the weekend at 5-2 in singles and 4-1 in doubles.
  • Lewis Roskilly: The freshman from Stevenage, England, is competing in his third event of the semester heading to Washington with a 2-4 singles mark and 5-1 doubles record. Roskilly teamed up with Hewko last weekend to win the doubles title at the Larry Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas sweeping three matches.
