Easley Memorial Classic
  • What’s Happening:  As the fall season continues to wind down with two events left in the semester, the Broncos sent three members of the squad to Las Vegas this weekend to participate in the Easley Memorial Classic.
  • Location: The tournament is being held at Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas on the UNLV campus.
  • Dates: The tournament runs Friday through Sunday. The action begins at approximately 10 a.m. (Mountain) on Friday and Saturday, as well as 11 a.m. on Sunday.
  • The Field: Players from eight programs will be competing in the event, other schools joining the Broncos include: UNLV, Arizona, Oregon, Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon, Seminole (Okla.) State College and Mesa (Ariz.) Community College.
  • Format: The tournament will be made up of one flight of doubles and two flights of singles along with consolation play in both.
  • Live Scoring: Live scoring is not available for this event.
  • The annual event was renamed in 2010 in honor of UNLV Hall of Famer Larry Easley, who passed away from illness in 2005 at the age of 57. Easley coached the UNLV men’s tennis team longer than anyone in history and produced some spectacular results over his dozen seasons from 1993-2002, including producing five All-Americans and two NCAA individual champions.
