WHAT IS HAPPENING

  • The Boise State men’s tennis continues its fall schedule this weekend when they send Abe Hewko and Tillman Haynes to UNLV’s Larry Easley Memorial Classic. The Bronco duo will compete in singles and then team-up for doubles.
  • The tournament begins on Friday at 10 a.m. (Mountain) and runs through Sunday at UNLV’s Fertitta Tennis Complex.
  • The event will feature two flights for singles and one for doubles.

TOURNAMENT FIELD
  • Boise State is one of eight schools represented at this year’s edition of the tournament.
  • Joining the Broncos in Las Vegas will be the tournament host and MW rival UNLV, as well as Arizona, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon and Mesa Community College.

REPRESENTING BOISE STATE
  • Junior Abe Hewko will lead the Boise State team in Las Vegas, this is his second competition of the fall semester. Hewko enters the event with a 3-1 singles mark falling in the semifinals of the Dar Walters Boise State Fall Classic (Oct. 1-4). His doubles mark is 5-0 having teamed with Thomas Tenreiro to win the Dar Walters title.
  • Freshman Tillman Haynes will debut for Boise State in Las Vegas competing in his first collegiate tournament.
