Men's Tennis Advances Three to Round of 32 at Wilson/ITA Regional Championships

                LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Boise State men’s tennis team saw three Broncos advance to the round of 32, Wednesday (Oct. 21), after a strong first day at the Wilson/ITA Mountain Region Championships at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

            Freshman Jeff Mullen was the only Bronco to win both of his matches on Wednesday, starting the tournament off with a 6-4, 6-0 win against Cole Paterson of Weber State. Mullen next beat Stanislav Glukhov (Idaho), 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, to advance to the third round of the main draw.

            Joining Mullen in the round of 32 is Vicente Joli and Filipp Pogostkin, who both won their second round match after a first round bye. Joli beat Joe Wood of New Mexico, 6-3, 6-4, to move onto the third round. Pogostkin defeated Utah State’s Nate Ballam, 6-3, 6-2, to also advance through the second round.
