What’s Happening

Four members of the Boise State men’s tennis team are traveling to San Francisco this weekend to participate in the “Battle in the Bay” this Friday through Sunday. This is one of the top collegiate tournaments on the west coast for men’s tennis during the fall semester. The tournament is hosted by the University of San Francisco at the California Club at 1770 Scott Street in San Francisco.

Action will begin at 10 a.m. (Mountain time) Friday morning with the first round of doubles followed by the opening round of singles. Saturday and Sunday will follow the same format with a 10 a.m. start for doubles with singles going second.


Boise State’s Singles Representatives
Representing Boise State at this tournament are junior Garrett Patton (3-1), sophomores Toby Mitchell (2-1) and Thomas Tenreiro (0-2), as well as freshman Brendan McClain (1-1).   This will be the second tournament of the fall for all four Broncos.


The Broncos Doubles Teams
Boise State’s doubles teams will consist of Garrett Patton and Brendan McClain, as well as Toby Mitchell and Thomas Tenreiro. This will be the first tournament for these particular pairings for the Broncos.


The Tournament Field
There will be 11 schools participating at the Battle in the Bay, joining the Broncos are San Francisco (host), California, Cal Poly, Pacific, Pepperdine, Saint Mary’s, San Diego, Santa Clara, Southern California and Stanford.
