Men's Tennis Team Completes Day Two

Ann Arbor, Mich.- The Boise State University men’s tennis team continued to compete in the Wolverine Invitational, hosted by the University of Michigan.  Saturday saw Steve Roberson, Piotr Dilaj and Brent Werbeck match up in singles against the team from Vanderbilt.

 

Roberson faced Ryan Preston and was defeated 6-2 and 6-4.  While Dilaj squared off against Vijay Paul lost 6-2 and 6-4.

 

The match up of Werbeck against Scott Lieberman took two tie breakers to determine a winner but in the end victory narrowly escaped Werbeck as he lost 7-5(5), 2-6 and 7-6(2).

 

The doubles team of Roberson and Dilaj were also defeated by Norte Dame’s doubles team of Brent Helgeson and Barry King, 8-3. 

 

Action will continue Sunday as the Broncos face Michigan in both singles and doubles beginning at 8:30 a.m. MT.
