Bronco Men's Tennis Team Finish 2005-06 Season Ranked 27th Nationally.
The final FILA Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA National Rankings for the 2005-06 were released this past weekend, and the Boise State men’s tennis team finished the season ranked 27th. The Bronco men won the 2006 Western Athletic Conference title, advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament and finished with a season of 21-7.

Sophomore Luke Shields finished the season ranked 53rd nationally while senior Thomas Schoeck was ranked 102. In doubles, Schoeck and Shields completed 2005-06 ranked 20th nationally. Shields' singles record in 2005-06 was 25-14 while Schoeck's was 23-8. In doubles, they went 25-10.

In the regional rankings, the Bronco men’s team was ranked second in the Mountain Region (behind Colorado). In the final individual regional rankings, Shields was ranked first; Schoeck was sixth; freshman Clancy Shields was 15th and sophomore Eric Roberson was ranked 23rd. In doubles, Luke Shields and Schoeck were ranked the top doubles team in the region and Stevie Robertson and Clancy Shields were the ninth ranked doubles team. Clancy Shields' final singles record in 2005-06 was19-7 while Roberson's was 19-12. Clancy Shields and Robertson went 21-4 in doubles.
