Father-son duo will debut this fall.

BOISE, Idaho (6/2/2011) - Greg Patton, Boise State University’s men’s tennis head coach, announced today the signing of his son Garrett to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Broncos this coming year.  Garrett, who is one of the top junior players in the region, has just completed his senior season at Boise High School and will join Boise State’s program this coming fall when they make the jump into the Mountain West Conference.
“Getting Garrett to commit to Boise State was greatly enhanced since both parents were easy to convince, they both liked the coaching staff!” said Greg Patton. “I am thrilled to have a hometown kid join our program. I had been working on recruiting him since he was in blue and orange diapers and his first words were Go Broncos.”
Garrett has been a standout prep player for the Boise High Braves where he went undefeated the last two years and won Idaho 5A state singles titles as a freshman and junior. In addition, Patton’s Boise High team went 62-0 during the regular season the last four years and won three of the last four state team titles. Garrett is also one of the top junior players in the Intermountain Section and is currently ranked No. 61 nationally.
