Shields Drops Opening Round Match at NCAAs
Stanford, Calif. Boise State University sophomore Luke Shields lost in the first round of singles competition at the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships, Wednesday.

Shields, ranked No. 45 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, was ousted by Wake Forest’s Todd Paul (No. 18), 6-4, 6-2, in the Round of 64. Shields, who earned an automatic bid to the championships, finished his season with a record of 25-14.
