Men's Tennis Looks for Four-Peat as No. 1 Seed at WAC Championships

COMING UP:
The No. 32-ranked Boise State men’s tennis team will head to Las Cruces, New Mexico for the 2008 WAC Championships on April 25, 26, and 27. The Broncos will look to win their fourth straight WAC title entering the tournament as the No. 1 seed.

ABOUT THE BRONCOS:
The Broncos improved three spots this week in the team rankings to No. 32. Clancy Shields dropped six spots to No. 77 in the singles rankings while Luke Shields improved seven spots to No. 94. The duo fell 14 spots in the doubles rankings to No. 32 this week.

The Broncos enter the WAC Championships as the No. 1 and therefore earn a bye through the first round of play on Friday, April 25. They will play in their first match at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 against the winner of No. 4-seeded Hawai’i and No. 5-seeded Idaho match on Friday.

BRONCOS’ LAST TIME OUT:
The Broncos ended their 2008 regular season with a 7-0 win over UC Santa Barbara and a 6-1 win over Weber State University. With the two wins, the Broncos improved to 16-1 home court record and increased their ongoing winning streak to 11.
