Boise State Tennis Teams Among National Leaders in Attendance

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its March attendance report and among those ranked are both the Boise State women’s and men’s tennis programs. The Boise State women are ranked third in total attendance while the men come in at eighth for home matches throughout the spring duals season.


Once again it proves what the Broncos have known all along, that Boise is home to some of the best tennis fans anywhere in the country.

In the most recent attendance rankings released for the month of March the Boise State women ranked third in total attendance at 1,056 for six home matches and fifth in average at 176 per contest. The Bronco men came in sixth in total attendance at 1,640 and eighth in average attendance in March at 273.

Both programs are also ranked in total attendance for the entire season through the end of March with the women coming in at third with 1,889 and the men ranked eighth at 2,250.

The Boise State teams are ranked along with some of the most prestigious collegiate tennis programs across the country. Leading the women’s race on the year is Georgia with 3,599 total fans for a national-best average of 360 per contest. The Baylor women are just ahead of the Broncos with 1,927 in total attendance, while Florida ranks fourth, one spot behind Boise State with 1,481.

In relation to the men’s programs, TCU leads the nation in total attendance with 5,593 spectators, the Horned Frogs also lead in average attendance at 508 per match. The top five in total attendance starting with TCU are Georgia (3,470), Tennessee (3,271), Mississippi (3,177) and Michigan (3,084).
