BOISE, Idaho - Boise State's James Meredith was honored by the Western Athletic Conference, Tuesday (April 13), as he was been named the Verizon Wireless WAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for April 5-11. This marks the second conference honor of the season for Meredith, and the third of his career.
Meredith, a Christchurch, New Zealand native (Christchurch Boys HS), went 2-0 in both No. 1 singles and doubles as Boise State picked up a pair of crucial WAC wins last weekend. The Broncos knocked off New Mexico State, 6-1, and Nevada, 6-1, in their final home duals of the season. In singles, Meredith improved to 4-0 against WAC opponents and has compiled an 8-1 record over his past 10 matches with one match unfinished.
