Broncos Head to Reno for Final Regular Season Road Matches

BOISE, Idaho The No. 19-ranked Boise State men’s tennis team will continue this week’s play in their final pair of regular season road matches on Saturday, April 11 in Reno, Nev. The Broncos are coming off a 6-1 win against unranked Denver on Thursday in Boise, improving to 16-7 on the season.

 

On Saturday, Boise State will first take on Western Athletic Conference opponent No. 73-ranked New Mexico State in an 11 a.m. match, followed by No. 67-ranked Nevada in a 3 p.m. match-up on the campus of the University of NevadaReno.

 

Boise State has only faced one WAC team this season and holds a 1-0 record in conference play. They earned a 5-2 win over Idaho on February 28 to earn the record.

 

In the Campbell’s/ITA National Rankings, only Nevada holds an individual ranking with Wessim Derbel holding the No. 123 spot in singles play. The Broncos feature No. 26-ranked Clancy Shields, No. 70-ranked Kean Feeder, No. 71-ranked James Meredith as well as Meredith and Feeder holding the No. 50 spot in doubles play. New Mexico State has no nationally ranked singles or doubles players.
