FRESNO, Calif. -- The match between the No. 29-ranked Boise State men's tennis team and No. 30-ranked Fresno State was suspended just before the doubles point was determined on Saturday, Feb. 20, due to rain. The match was a typical Fresno State vs. Boise State match considering the past three contests in Fresno between the Broncos and Bulldogs have had rain delays and cancellations.
In today's match, the score was tied at 1-1 with Boise State leading the deciding doubles match at 8-7 when the sky opened up with a downpour right at crunch time. The match has major ramifications for national rankings and seeding for the WAC Championships, so a stopping play was crucial to a fair match.
Weather permitting; the match will be resumed at 10am on Sunday, Feb. 21 at the Fresno State Tennis Facility.
