Bettles Earns Player of the Week Nod
DENVER - Boise State's Andy Bettles and San Diego State's Derek Siddiqui have been selected as the Mountain West Co-Men's Tennis Players of the Week, the conference announced, Wednesday.

Bettles, hailing from Somerset, England, went 2-0 last Saturday to help propel 45th-ranked Boise State to a 4-3 upset victory over 26th-ranked Washington. Bettles began the dual match by competing in doubles action, teaming with Scott Sears to defeat the tandem of Jeff Hawke and Max Manthou (8-5) at the No. 2 position to help the Broncos secure the doubles point. The sophomore went on to clinch the match for Boise State in singles action, defeating Washington's Emmett Egger, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, at the second singles spot to give Boise State its fourth point of the dual.

Bettles is 4-1 in singles play this spring and has combined with Sears to go 3-1 in doubles matches.

The Broncos will be back in action this weekend when they host Montana State and Idaho State, Friday and Idaho on Saturday. All matches will take place at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
