Boise State Ranked 33rd Nationally

BOISE, Idaho (1/6/2015) - The Boise State men’s tennis team is ranked 33rd by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in its first national poll of the spring semester. Boise State also has five players ranked regionally by the ITA in Garrett Patton, Thomas Tenreiro, Toby Mitchell, Brian Foley and Brendan McClain. Last year the Broncos won the Mountain West championship for the third straight year, advanced to the NCAA Tournament and finished ranked 29th.
    
Patton, Tenreiro and McClain are all ranked for singles in the ITA’s Mountain Region. Patton a senior from Boise comes in at ninth followed by Tenreiro at 10th and McClain at 11th. In doubles, Boise State’s tandem of Patton and McClain are ranked No. 3 in the region, while the doubles team of  Mitchell and Foley are ranked ninth. 
    
The 2015 team duals season begins next week for the Broncos with Boise State on the road at the University of Hawai’i. The two teams will meet on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. (Mountain) in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii. They will then open the USTA/ITA Kick-off Weekend in Los Angeles, Calif., against No. 41 Texas Tech on Jan. 23, then play either No. 4 UCLA or No. 53 Pepperdine in the second round.
