Boise State Falls at Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Boise State men’s tennis fell 5-0 Sunday afternoon to the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. The young Broncos battled hard but Michigan’s experience was too much to overcome. The Wolverines took the doubles point then put the match away with four straight singles victories.

Boise State falls to 2-15 overall with the loss. The Broncos will return to action next weekend with a two-match road trip to UC Irvine and UNLV next weekend.

Boise State dropped the doubles point 2-0 to open the match as Kyle Butters and Jack Heslin lost 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Pedro Platzeck and Greg Wischer fell 6-3 on court two.

In singles Butters battled 58th-ranked Myles Schalet 6-2,, 4-4 on court one before the contest was ended with the Wolverines clinching the team point.

Brian Tran had earned a split at 6-2, 4-6 on court three with Runhao Hua and was entering the third set when their match was stopped as well.

Unfortunately, the Wolverines put the match away by recording victories at No. 2, 4, 5 and 6 singles.
