LOS ANGELES, Calif.  - Boise State fell 4-0 to the New Mexico Lobos in the consolation round Sunday afternoon at Los Angeles during the final day of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The loss drops the youthful Broncos to 1-4 overall.

Jack Heslin and Brian Tran led Boise State winning their doubles contest 6-4 over UNM’s Rudolfo Jauregui and Rick Hernandez-Tong on court one.

New Mexico won the doubles point and the first three singles completed to clinch the victory over the Broncos.

Top singles results for Boise State were Tran who was leading his match at No. 2 singles over Hernandez-Tong 7-6, 2-3, when the contest was abandoned, while Heslin had split 6-2, 2-6 with Jauregui on court three.

Next up for the Broncos is a road trip to Evanston, Ill., where they will face their host the Northwestern Wildcats on Friday followed by a match Sunday against the Harvard Crimson.
