    BOISE, Idaho - Boise State men's golf returns to action this weekend for its penultimate tournament of the fall season, traveling to California's Central Valley for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. The three-round tournament will be played Thursday-Saturday (Oct. 27-29) on Stockton Country Club's par-71, 6,516-yard course.

    Representing the Broncos in Stockton will be the quintet of freshman Brian Humphreys, who is coming off of earning co-medalist honors at the Ogio Utah Invitational three weeks ago (Oct. 3-4), senior Kyle Mitsunaga, juniors Jacob Byers and Donny Hopoi, and freshman Mason Schulze. Boise State will go up against a 13-team field that also includes host Pacific, BYU, CSU Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Denver, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Sacramento State, Seattle University, Temple and UC Riverside.

    The Broncos finished fourth at the Ogio Utah Invitational in its most recent action, posting a team score of 584 (+16). Humphreys shared the tournament title, closing with six birdies over the final nine holes to come in at three-under (139), to become Boise State's first medalist since Ty Travis in 2015. Byers and Hopoi each turned in a top-20 finish in Park City, with the Bronco teammates finishing tied for 18th with matching six-over scores (148).

    Boise State will finish the fall portion of its 2016-17 slate next Thursday-Saturday (Nov. 3-5) at the Ka'Anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Maui.
