Bronco Men Look to Continue Early-Season Success

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men’s golf team will travel to Layton, Utah, next week to play in the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Weber State Oct. 10-11.

The two-day, three-round tournament will be played at the par-72, 7,147-yard Valley View Golf Course.

The teams will tee off both the front nine and the back nine each day beginning at 8 a.m. The first two rounds will be played Monday, with the final round Tuesday.

In addition to the Broncos and Wildcats, the 11-team field also includes Arkansas-Little Rock, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Oral Roberts, Rollins College, Sacramento State, Southern Utah, Utah State and Utah Valley.

Boise State is coming off its best effort of the season – a second-place finish at the Jim Colbert Collegiate. The Broncos have finished in the top four in each of their three tournaments thus far, the best start to a fall season since 2005. In head coach Kevin Burton’s first season, Boise State finished in the top three four times.

Also playing as an individual for Boise State will be freshman Jon VanDyk.
