Bronco Men Open Season on the Palouse
BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men’s golf team tees off for the first time during the 2011-12 season, competing at the Cougar Classic Sept. 12-13, at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course in Pullman, Wash.

The 54-hole tournament will consist of two rounds Monday and the final round Tuesday, and Palouse Ridge will play at a par 71 and 7,308 yards. Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday, and 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.

“Our team played extremely well throughout qualification,” Bronco head coach Kevin Burton said. “Even guys not on the travel squad shot rounds under par. We have had a lot of competition amongst ourselves, and I’m looking forward to seeing that translate to tournament play in our first event.”

The Cougar Classic will feature 14 schools, including the Broncos, tournament-host Washington State, British Columbia, UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, North Idaho College, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Seattle, Spokane Community College, Utah Valley and Whitworth.

Traveling for the Broncos will be:

Jordan Skyles
Clayton Kosanovich
Charlie Marusiak

Taylor Porter will also be playing for the Broncos as an individual.

Results will be available at following each day of competition.
