Humphreys Set for US Amateur Championship

BOISE, Idaho -- Rising sophomore men's golfer, Brian Humphreys, will compete in the 2017 US Amateur Championship, in Southern California, August 14-20.

Humphreys will begin stroke play, Monday at 2:18 p.m. (MT) at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Humphreys will compete alongside Christopher Crawford and Garrett Barber from the first hole. The trio will move to Bel Air Country Club in Los Angeles for the second round of stroke play with the group teeing off on the back nine, at 9:03 a.m. (MT).

The top 64 golfers at the end of stroke play will advance to match play, beginning 9:50 a.m. (MT) on Wednesday at Riviera Country Club. The round of 32 will begin Thursday, August 17th, beginning at 8:15 a.m. (MT), with the round of 16 being held later that day at 2:15 p.m. (MT).

The quarterfinals will be held Friday, August 18th at 2:30 p.m. (MT), while the semifinals will begin Friday, August 19th at 9 a.m. (MT).

The 36-hole finals will be held Sunday, August 20th, beginning at 8:45 a.m. (MT).

Live scoring will be provided by the USGA.

Fans can view the round of 64, round of 16 and quarterfinal matches on FS1, the round of 32 and morning 18 holes of the final round at USGA.org, and the semifinal and afternoon 18 holes of the final round on Fox.   

Humphreys, the defending Mountain West individual champion qualified for the US Amateur Championship after winning the Medford Qualifier, July 24.
