Kim in the Hunt for Match Play at U.S. Amateur

BROOKINE, Mass. - Former Boise State men's golfer T.K. Kim carded a 2-over-par 72 in the opening round of the U.S. Amateur Championship, Monday.

He will enter the second round of stroke play tied for 58th in the 312-man field.

The top 64 golfers after the second round of stroke play will advance to match play, Wednesday.

Kim registered three birdies, three bogeys and a double on the opening day at The Country Club, and is scheduled to tee off at 12:05 p.m. (MT) Tuesday at the Charles River Country Club in Newton, Mass.

Match play will begin with the Round of 64 Wednesday, and the second and third rounds will be played Thursday. After the quarterfinals Friday and the semifinals Saturday, the championship match will be held Sunday.
