BOISE, Idaho (6/1/2009) Boise State men’s golfer Blake Brown won the 2009 edition of the Arizona Western Amateur over the weekend at the Yuma Golf and Country Club in Yuma, Ariz. The sophomore to be took home the title by one stroke over second place Terence Daniels after firing a two-round score of 12-under-par 132. Brown carded scores of 66 (-6) during each round of the 36-hole tournament to outdistance 104 other participants for the top honor. The victory qualifies the Scottsdale, Ariz., native for the Arizona State Amateur later this summer.
