DeLaet Finishes Regional Championships Tied For 32nd
TUCSON, Ariz. Boise State University senior and Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year Graham DeLaet fired his third-consecutive round of par-or-better at the NCAA West Regional Men’s Golf Championships, Saturday, finishing tied for 32nd in the 141-player field.

With a three-round total of 212 (-4), DeLaet set a school record for lowest 54-hole total at the regional championships, four strokes better than the previous record. The finish also marked his best career effort at the event in three tries. He is one of only three players in school history to earn an invite to the event as an individual, and the only Bronco to earn multiple invites.

DeLaet opened the tournament with an even-par 72 at the 7,200-yard Omni Tucson National Golf Club, and posted a 3-under 69 in the second round. In what would be the final round of his Bronco career, DeLaet shot 71 (-1), Saturday, to finish nine strokes back of the lead.

Arizona, Florida, Arizona State, Washington, North Carolina State, Brigham Young, Loyola Marymount, East Tennessee State, Pepperdine and Nevada all advanced to the NCAA Championships in Sunriver, Ore. Dustin Pimm of Utah and Brian Edick of UC-Irvine earned invites as individuals.

With a scoring average of 71.4 this year in 12 events, DeLaet broke his own school record for single-season scoring average. He now holds the three-lowest single-season averages in school history (71.5 and 72.6).

In his four seasons at Boise State, DeLaet won 10 tournaments, six more than any other Bronco in school history.
