Men's Golf Travels to MW Championships

BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State men's golf team will travel to Tucson, Ariz., April 25-27, for the 2014 Mountain West Championships.

The three-round tournament will consist of 18 holes each day, Friday through Sunday, at the par-71, 7,144-yard Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort.

Tee times are slated to begin each day at 8 a.m. (MT). Opening-round tee times for Boise State are as follows:

10:30 a.m. - Mark Brassey
10:40 a.m. - Logan France
10:50 a.m. - David Elliott
11 a.m. - Jordan Skyles
11:10 a.m. - Ty Travis

Boise State is scheduled to play the first round with Wyoming and Utah State, and will also be joined in the field by Air Force, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV.

Travis, a junior, boasts a scoring average of 72.14 in his debut season at Boise State - currently the fifth-best single-season average in school history. He has seven top-25 finishes this year, including four in the top 10 - tied for the 10th-most in a single season in school history.

Skyles, a redshirt senior, has recorded top-25 finishes in two of his five tournaments this spring, and is averaging 74.86 strokes per round this season.

Elliott, one of two freshmen competing for the Broncos at the conference championships, is averaging 75.03 strokes per round. Brassey, also a freshman, is averaging 75.64 through four tournaments during his debut season.

France, a sophomore, is averaging 74.69 strokes through 26 rounds in 2013-14, the second-best scoring average on the team. He has a pair of top-10 finishes in his four spring tournaments, and has recorded three on the season.
