Men's Golf Set for MW Champs

BOISE, Idaho –
The Boise State men’s golf team will compete this weekend at the Mountain West Men’s Golf Championship, April 20-22, in Bremerton, Wash.

SCHEDULE: The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days, with a single round being played each day. Action will begin with tee times at 8 a.m. MT each day. For the first round, Boise State will be paired with Utah State and Air Force.

THE COURSE: For the first time, the conference championship will be held at the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. This ends an 11-year streak of the men’s championship being held at the Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort in Tucson, Ariz. The course will play at par-72, 7,115-yard.

THE FIELD: Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State, Wyoming

HISTORY: Boise State is looking to capture the same magic they had last season, when Brian Humphreys and Donny Hopoi led a 1-2 finish for the Broncos. Humphreys became the first Bronco to win a Mountain West individual title, while the team’s third place finish, two-strokes back of first place UNLV.
