Kim Leads Broncos at Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. – Junior Taeksoo Kim leads the Boise State men’s golf team after the first two rounds of the Duck Invitational Monday, and will enter the final round just two strokes back of the top 25.

Kim posted a 36-hole total of 149 (+5) at the par-72, 7,007-yard Eugene Country Club, and will enter Tuesday’s final round in a tie for 30th place.

Senior Scott Spiewak opened the tournament with a first-round 74 (+2), and was one stroke back of the top 20. He posted 14 pars in the second round, but finished with a 77 (+5) and will enter the final round tied for 42nd with a 151 (+7).

The Broncos are in 13th place as a team after posting a two-round total of 611 (+35).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were redshirt sophomore Jordan Skyles (154; +10), junior Clayton Kosanovich (157; +13) and senior Taylor Porter (164; +20).

Tuesday’s final round is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (MT).
