Broncos Make Second-round Move
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Following sub-par rounds from junior Taeksoo Kim and senior Scott Siewak, the Boise State men’s golf team moved up four places at the Desert Shootout, Friday.

Kim posted a 4-under-par 68 at the 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Course, tied for the fourth-lowest score of the day in the 94-man field. The round moved him into a tie for 11th after beginning the day tied for 37th.

Spiewak carded a 2-under 70, and is just one of 10 golfers in the field to post back-to-back sub-par rounds through the first two days of the event. Spiwak is among a group of seven – including Kim – tied for 11th at 141 (-3).

The duo - which will enter Saturday’s final round just one stroke back of the top 10 – moved the Broncos into sixth place as a team with a two-round total of 571 (-5). The Broncos recorded a team score of 282 (-6) Friday, the fourth-lowest of the day.

Senior Taylor Porter posted a second-straight even-par round, and currently sits in a tie for 28th, one back of the top 25.

Rounding out the scoring for Boise State were redshirt sophomore Jordan Skyles and junior Clayton Kosanovich, who each have two-round totals of 150 (+6).
