Pair of Tournaments Await Broncos
March 16, 2016

COACH POTTER’S TIP OF THE WEEK: We will be traveling a lot this week, and one thing that I try to focus on is getting back to perfect balance. A way to do this is to take a set-up with a 5-iron and make a full practice swing (without hitting a ball). Hold your finish for 5 seconds on perfect balance with head, chest and belt buckle all facing the target. If you can do that well, then repeat it with your eyes closed. Feel where you lose balance at every point in the swing and make corrections until you can hold the perfect finish with your eyes closed.

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men’s golf team will begin its spring break with a pair of tournaments, traveling to Goodyear, Ariz., for the Desert Shootout (March 18-19), before traveling to San Diego, for the Barona Collegiate Cup (March 21-22).

The Desert Shootout, hosted by Denver, will be held at the Palm Valley Golf Club, while the Barona Collegiate Cup, hosted by San Diego State, will be held at the Barona Creek Golf Club.

“We are in the thick of our season at this point and anxious to see who is going to step up and solidify their spot in the line-up coming down the stretch,” head coach Dan Potter said. “We have two tournaments back-to-back, and it's time for us to rise to the occasion.”
