FRESNO, Calif. The Boise State University men’s golf team is tied for seventh place with a 298 (+11) through the first round of the Fresno State Lexus Classic at the Sunnyside Golf Course, Monday.

Although Boise State stands tied for seventh place they remain only six strokes back of Western Athletic Conference rival for third place.

Once again Troy Merritt leads the Broncos as he registered a 1-under par, 71, in the opening round to tie for eighth place.
