Bandon Dunes Awaits Broncos
March 4, 2016

COACH POTTER’S TIP OF THE WEEK: We are expecting to play in upwards of 25 mile-per-hour winds this week on the Oregon coast. Any time you play in strong winds, you need to keep the ball lower by using extra club and swinging slower. The harder you swing, the more the ball will spin, and the more it spins, the more the wind will affect the ball.

Also, putting can be very difficult in the wind so I suggest widening your putting stance and putting a little more weight on your lead foot. This will create a more stable base and consistent stroke when the wind is gusting. Other than that, it takes patience and a good attitude to play well when the wind is blowing.

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State men’s golf team will travel to Bandon, Ore., to take on the field at the Bandon Dunes Championship, March 6-8.
