Boise State Men's Golf Sits in Sixth Place at ReBath Snowman Getaway...
Brown sits in 12th-place tie...

CHANDLER, Ariz. (2/22/2010) - Boise State carded a day one score of 603 (+27) to find itself in sixth-place out of 13 teams at the inaugural ReBath Snowman Getaway at Whirlwind Golf Club's Cattail Course in Chandler, Ariz. Leading the way for the Broncos is sophomore Blake Brown who tallied a two-round score of 4-over-par 148 to finish the day in a six-way tie for 12th place.

The Broncos fired a solid first round total of 4-over 292 which put them in fourth place after the morning session in Arizona. Unfortunately, Boise State's fortunes during the afternoon's round took a dip as the Broncos struggled turning in a score of 23-over 311. They completed the first day in sixth place with a 27-over 603, 21 strokes out of first place. The Broncos are 10 strokes back of UMKC (University of Missouri - Kansas City) and the University of Portland tied for fourth place after shooting 17-over 593s today. The University of Idaho leads after day one with a 6-over 582.

On the individual side, Blake Brown finished day one leading the Broncos with a 2-under 70 on the first 18 followed by a 6-over 78 on the second round. He will enter tomorrow's final round in a six-way tie for 12th place with a 4-over 148.

Jace Long from the University of Missouri, Nick Ellis of Washington State University and Brett Iliff from UMKC are currently tied for first with 3-under 141s.

Robbie Richards follows Brown for Boise State carding a two round score of 6-over 150. The senior from Australia fired a 2-over 74 during the first round and a 4-over 76 on the last 18 Monday afternoon. He will open tomorrow's round in a five-way tie for 19th.

John Baranco ranks third on the day for Boise State tallying a 8-over 152 today. The Boise native shot a 1-over 73 to open the day before recording a 7-over 79 on the second 18 this afternoon. Baranco currently sits in a six-way tie for 25th.

Rounding out the Boise State squad were freshmen Clayton Kosanovich and Taeksoo Kim. Kosanovich fired a two-round score of 10-over 154 (76-78) tied for 33rd, while Kim followed with a total of 11-over 155 (75-80) good for a tie for 39th.

The final round begins tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:00 p.m. (Mountain) in Chandler, Ariz.,
