Final Results

Brian Humphreys notched his third top 10 finish of the year to lead Boise State to an eighth place finish at the Ka’Anapali Classic Collegiate, Sunday.

The Broncos shot a combined 852 (275-295-282, E), rising one spot on the leaderboard in the 20-team field, on the final day of completion.

Humphreys finished within the top 10 at the conclusion of each round, shooting 7-under on the weekend. The sophomore shot a combined 206 (64-72-70), making 13 birdies along the way.

“This is a great result for Brian. He was focused on this event after struggling here last year and he delivered,” head coach Dan Potter said. “He has taken his preparation to a new level this year, and it has shown in his consistency.”

“Donny played well also. He didn’t make as many birdies as he normally does, but he stayed patient and had a nice finish. If he maintains that type of maturity this spring, he’ll finish in the winner’s circle again.”

Senior Donny Hopoi joined Humphreys in the top 25, finishing tied for 22nd. Hopoi shot a combined 211 (69-72-70, -2), and has finished in the top 25 in four tournaments this fall.

Mason Schulze had the largest movement of the day for Boise State, jumping 25 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 49th. Schulze finished with a three-round score of 216 (72-76-71, E).

Skyler Eubank (70-77-78 – 225, +12) and Jun Ho Won (79-75-71 – 225, +12) rounded out the scoring for Boise State.

This concludes Boise State’s fall season. The Broncos will return to action Jan. 29-30, at the Waves Challenge for their spring season.

“As a team, we just have to keep pushing forward,” Potter said. “We’ll take some confidence from this fall season, but we have some areas that will require big improvements as well. We have a nice break to work on some weaknesses.”
